There’s something magical about small towns. The kind where everyone knows your name, the porch lights glow warm into the evening, and secrets settle just beneath the surface, especially the supernatural ones. 

I'm thrilled to announce the release of my cozy horror anthology, Monsters Under the Magnolias, a collection of eight heartwarming, hair-raising tales set in the charming Southern town of Madison, Georgia. 

Each story introduces a different creature, myth, or misunderstood monster, but what they all share is a deep sense of longing, healing, and unexpected connection. These aren’t slashers or gore-filled frights. These are stories about companionship, redemption, and the quiet magic that lingers in magnolia-scented air. 

You’ll meet:

 🌲 A lonely wendigo who just wants to be warm

 👻 A banshee who quilts and keeps watch from the upstairs window

 🪦 A thoughtful ghoul who tends the garden behind an old Victorian

 ❄️ A quiet wight who makes a woman’s home cooler in more ways than one

 🐾 A sassy wampus cat rediscovering her humanity and love

 🐺 A tortured werewolf who finds peace in a yarn shop

 🐴 And a terrifying, skinless nuckelavee who learns to catalogue antiques (begrudgingly) 

Writing each of these stories was an absolute joy. I laughed, got misty-eyed more than once, and found myself falling a little in love with each creature and the humans they encountered. There’s something about bringing monsters into cozy spaces that lets them shed their old stories and write new ones. 

And now I find myself wondering…

What other haints might be hiding in Madison?

Is that just the wind in the pecan tree, or is something else watching from the shadows?

There may be more tales waiting to be told. I’m listening.
