About Lisa Clute

Lisa Clute is a full-time science fiction romance and cozy horror author who writes high-stakes stories filled with fiercely protective alien warriors, strong-willed heroines, and love that spans the universe. Her Abrauxian Brides series blends action, heart, and humor in a vividly imagined world where anything, especially romance, is possible.

She is also the creator of the beloved Haunted South series, a collection of cozy horror tales set in small-town Georgia, where front porches creak and the things that go bump in the night are just as likely to be friends as nightmares. Her anthology Monsters Under the Magnolias was named a finalist in the 2025 CIBA Awards for Collections and Anthologies, with winners to be announced in April 2026.

A former microbiologist who once traveled the globe, Lisa now creates alien worlds and haunted Southern streets from her home just northeast of Atlanta. Her work blends warmth, wonder, and just the right touch of eerie charm.

Lisa is a proud member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association, the Horror Writers Association, Georgia Romance Writers, and the Atlanta Writers Club. She enjoys connecting with readers and fellow creatives at in-person events, including local writer’s groups and book signings.

When she’s not writing intense bonding scenes or wrangling fictional Frosthounds, she’s plotting her next interstellar adventure or ghostly tale, usually with tea in hand and a rescued Siamese cat or two supervising from her desk.
