For the Readers Who Believe

I’ll be honest, getting a one-star rating stings. It always does, no matter how many glowing messages or amazing reviews I’ve received. For a moment, it knocked the wind out of me. I started to question the words, the world, the characters I’ve poured my heart into.

But then I realized something simple and freeing:

My books aren’t for everyone.

Maybe that reviewer doesn’t believe in love.

Maybe they don’t believe in aliens, shape shifters, or happily ever afters.

Maybe they’ve never met a frosthound or been emotionally wrecked by a prophecy. And honestly, I feel bad for them.

Because I don’t write stories for cynics.

I write for the believers. The dreamers. The readers who crave epic adventures in space, where the bad guys lose, the good guys (and gals) win, and the journey is messy, magical, and full of heart.

My characters don’t have it all figured out. They’re scarred, stubborn, brave, and often a little broken. But they keep going. They keep fighting, and they keep loving. And so do I.

So to the readers who get it, thank you. Thank you for flying with me, feeling with me, and believing in a universe where love still matters and courage counts.

Onward,
